kate Balcony& william kisses each other for compliting royal wedding.

New flags went up, cleaning crews scrubbed down, police checked for explosives and a handful of die-hard fans were already camping out. Welcome to Westminster Abbey, the ceremonial focus of Britain’s royal wedding frenzy.

Scores of police carefully examined the large temporary media structures that have gone up near the venerable abbey in central London, which will offer standing room for the thousands of journalists expected to cover today’s nuptials of Prince William and Kate Middleton. Police slid mini-cameras inside piles of scaffolding pipes to make sure no bombs were hidden.

To enhance security in the area, dozens of bailed anarchists, arrested in connection with alleged public order offenses during a chaotic protest against government cuts last month, have been barred from entering the Westminster area, for fear that they may cause trouble during the wedding, police said.

Workmen also delivered some surprising wedding floral decorations to the abbey. Instead of flowers, five men hoisted an 18-year-old potted maple tree inside. In all, six field maples and two hornbeams will form an “avenue of trees” lining the aisle leading up to the altar.

“These wonderful curved ceilings are supposed to reflect the branches of trees and that was what I thought of when I thought of having trees in the abbey,” said florist Shane Connolly.

Streets in London were being sealed off so hundreds of troops from the city’s Wellington and Hyde Park Barracks could participate in a pre-dawn dress rehearsal Wednesday morning involving those expected to line the procession route.

Scotland Yard’s cavalry arm put its ceremonial division, known as the Grey Escort, through its paces Tuesday and the Band of the Royal Marines rehearsed.

Police plan to deploy around 5,000 officers to police the royal wedding procession, but Assistant Commissioner Lynne Owens appealed to the public Tuesday to be on guard amid fears that Irish or Islamist extremists could target the ceremony.

“We really need you to be our eyes and our ears,” Owens said.

Tuesday was the last day the abbey was open to the public before closing for wedding rehearsals and preparations. Dozens of tourists milling around the ancient building were asked to pause for a moment of reflection as a public prayer was offered for the upcoming royal marriage.

“Today we pray for all couples preparing for marriage, especially today we pray for His Royal Highness Prince William and Miss Catherine Middleton as they prepare for their great day on Friday,” the Rev. Martin Hume said.

London has been bracing for a surge of visitors ahead of the wedding, and on Tuesday those predictions were borne out, as the Tower of London recorded its highest weekly number of visitors in 12 years. London andPartners spokeswoman Jacqueline French said the city could expect some 600,000 tourists specifically there for the royal wedding.

In London and across the country, Britons were getting ready to mark Friday with royal wedding parties.

At the prime minister’s Downing Street residence, just down the road from Westminster Abbey, children were baking cupcakes in anticipation of a wedding-themed charity bash. The children, joined by Prime Minister David Cameron’s wife Samantha, posed for pictures as they finished their cupcakes, which were topped with Union Jack flags and edible stickers of the royal couple.

Those who couldn’t make it to London sent their regards. Sailors from the HMS Iron Duke, the frigate on which Prince William served in 2008, addressed a video message to the prince and his fiancée that carried “best wishes for their wedding day and future life together.”

At a prime spot along the wedding procession route, John Loughrey of London, a 56-year-old self-described “super-fan” of the late Princess Diana, was already camped out.

Wearing a shirt with William and Middleton’s photo and the words: “Diana would be proud,” Loughrey predicted that Friday would “be a fabulous, fantastic day.”

Guen Murray, 76, had camped out for the 1981 royal wedding between Prince Charles and Lady Diana Spencer and was ready to do so again for their son William. She staked a place outside the abbey with her two daughters beginning at 8 a.m.

Murray said the wedding was important to her because she “grew up during the war and learned to respect the royal family.”

Weather forecasters have predicted a windy, cloudy and possibly wet this morning, but Murray didn’t seem bothered.

Asked what she will do if it rains, she replied: “Well, get wet.”

Prince William & Kate Balcony Kisses Complete Wedding

Maybe that's why he kissed her again.

The second kiss came just before the Royal Air Force flyover. Another first on a historic day: two kisses on the Buckingham Palace balcony by a newly married royal couple.

Photos: Images from the Royal Wedding Ceremony

All eyes were on Prince William and Kate as they emerged from the palace onto the balcony. Many among the boisterous gathered crowd and those watching around the world surely had one defining image in their minds: Princess Diana and Prince Charles' memorable wedding kiss.
It wasn't traditional for royal couples to kiss in public following their weddings before the summer of 1981. And Prince Charles reportedly resisted breaking tradition when the crowds outside Buckingham Palace that historic July morning called out for them to kiss.

"I am not going to do that caper. They are trying to get us to kiss," he said to Diana.

Diana's reported response: "Well, how about it?" The prince hesitated, then said "Why ever not?"

And this image lives on as proof.

Sadly, the marriage did not live up to the sweetness of that first public kiss. And because of that, there is a lifetime of hope wrapped up in today's royal smooch. The world wishes so much better for this young couple. They have come to marriage older, wiser, and by all accounts, truly in love.

The grand balcony has been the stage for vaulted royal appearances since 1851, when Queen Victoria stepped out onto it during celebrations for the Great Exhibition in Hyde Park, London. The Great Exhibition was the first in a series of World's Fair displays of culture and industry and attended by the likes of Charles Darwin and Charlotte Bront.

Princess Anne was the first of Queen Elizabeth's newly wed children to appear on the balcony with her new spouse, Captain Mark Phillips, in 1973. But they did not kiss.

Neither did Prince Edward and Sophie Wessex on their 1999 wedding day, though Prince Andrew did follow his elder brother's lead when he kissed the Duchess of York on the balcony on their wedding day in 1986.

A new iconic royal kiss image is born. Long live the marriage.

Will Obama Birth-Certificate Release Kill Birther Movement

The issue of President Obama's birth certificate has lingered in the scandal sheets for over two years now.The constant questions over his birth certificate, or lack thereof, have haunted Obama while triggering heated debate across the country. To the likes of Donald Trump, the lack of more concrete proof that the president was born here suggests a grave conspiracy. To others, it reflects the racism and hatred of Republicans and the Tea Party. But now that the White House has finally complied by releasing a long-form certificate at last, will it end the issue, or send it into new directions?
At long last, the demands of Trump and the Tea Party were met Wednesday morning, when the White House released Obama's much debated, and much doubted, long-form certificate of birth. Now the "birthers" will race to the White House website to see it, although time will tell how many of them are really satisfied.
Trump himself took credit for the release, telling ABC News en route to New Hampshire that he was "really honored" to play a role in the debate. Even if this kills the biggest issue that Trump had in his possible presidential run, he can still brag that he did what no other birther had done - intimidate the president into releasing it.

But the birther movement could still continue. After all these years of doubting the president's citizenship, the movement may have too much momentum to dissolve so quickly. Members can say that the document was forged and Obama is still hiding something that proves he is Kenyan.

Kathleen Turner a "Perfect" fit for suburban saga

Kathleen Turner has one of her best screen roles in years in "The Perfect Family," a comedy/drama that recently world-premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival.

Playing a devout Catholic and suburban mom who must reconcile her beliefs with her own family's less than perfect behavior, the actress delivers a complex, sympathetic portrayal that -- unlike so many cinematic depictions of religious faith -- never condescends. Unfortunately, this debut feature by Anne Renton doesn't quite find the proper tone to convey its heartfelt message.

The opening moments immediately establish Eileen Cleary (Turner) as a mainstay at her local parish and a particular favorite of Monsignor Murphy (Richard Chamberlain), who informs her that she's the front runner for the "Catholic Woman of the Year" award. Unfortunately, he's also nominated Eileen's arch rival, Agnes Dunn (Sharon Lawrence), who will clearly go to any ends to snare the coveted prize.

Among the qualifications for the title is a family life that conforms to traditional Catholic beliefs, but Eileen's comes up a bit short on that count. Her firefighter husband Frank (Michael McGrady) is a recovering alcoholic; her lesbian daughter Shannon (Emily Deschanel) is about to have a baby with her longtime partner Angela (Angelique Cabral); and her son Frank Jr. (Jason Ritter) has recently left his wife and is romantically involved with an older woman.

At first, the film seems to be aiming for dark satire, perhaps something on the order of "Serial Mom," Turner's collaboration with John Waters. The notion is reinforced by the casting of Chamberlain, who famously played the randy priest in TV's "The Thorn Birds," and by the suggestion that Eileen's competition with Agnes may lapse into extremes.

But screenwriters Claire V. Riley and Paula Goldberg have more sincere intentions, which is to depict their main character's gradual acceptance of her loved ones' lifestyle choices and personal flaws, as well as having to come to terms with her own not unblemished past.

The dialogue features the occasional comic zinger -- "I don't have to think, I'm Catholic," Eileen insists at one point -- but mostly the film aims for a blend of dysfunctional family drama and light comedy that never quite jells.

Fortunately, the well-drawn performances provide some compensation. Turner is deeply sympathetic as the religious matriarch even while providing subtle comic grace notes to the role. The low-key McGrady is highly appealing as the endlessly patient, loving husband, while Ritter and Deschanel are thoroughly believable as the grown children who love their mother despite her oft-expressed disapproval of their actions.

But for all its good intentions, "The Perfect Family" displays a Lifetime television movie-style tidiness that is ultimately all too predictable. It's hard not to wish that it had taken a few more chances and explored its certainly relevant themes a little more deeply.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 2' Trailer Reveals Big Spoiler

The "Harry Potter" film series has become the most successful movie franchise of all time, with a combined worldwide box-office total of over $6.3 billion worldwide. So it should be no surprise that the eighth and final installment, "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 2" will be going out with a bang. But if you pay close attention to the just-released trailer -- and you haven't read the book -- you could be in for a big shock.

Take a look at the video below, then keep reading to see what giant revelation is given away.

SPOILER WARNING: if you haven't read the book and don't want to know what happens, don't scroll down past the video player.

Watch it in HD

When the filmmakers decided to divide "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows" -- the final installment in J.K. Rowling's phenomenal series -- into two movies, they made a conscious choice to not to just split it down the middle. They wanted to craft separate films where each had its own style and tone. "Part 1," which hit theaters in November of 2010, was fundamentally a road movie with Harry, Hermoine and Ron on a quest out in the world. "Part 2," on the other hand, will be an all-out action flick, as Lord Voldemort leads his Death Eaters in an assault on Hogwarts with the fate of the world at stake.

By the looks of the trailer, the movie is going to be epic indeed. It's got dragons, knights, snakes, plumes of fire, collapsing bridges, and, of course, massive armies of battling wizards. But there are also shots of some of the pain and heartbreak in the final chapter as well. As readers of the novel know, beloved characters -- even some who have been part of the story since the very beginning -- do not survive the massive battle. And if you're quick enough to catch it, you can see one in the preview.

[Julie Walters and Rupert Grint] Julie Walters and Rupert Grint At the 1:02 mark, there is a shot of Ron Weasley (played by Rupert Grint) and his mother Molly (Julie Walters) in tears. They are huddled over a fallen body, and upon close inspection you can tell that it is Ron's brother Fred (James Phelps), one half of the Weasley twins.

In the book, Fred and his other brother Percy are defending Hogwarts from Death Eaters invading through secret passageways. There is an explosion, and Fred's body is later discovered in the rubble. It's a devastating loss, both because Fred is only 20 years old, but also because of the impact it has on his twin brother George.

Certainly, this doesn't come as a surprise to readers of the novel, and there are plenty of those. "Deathly Hallows" broke sales records when it hit shelves in 2007, selling eight million copies in the U.S. in just the first 24 hours. It's gone on to sell over 400 million copies worldwide. Still, there are plenty of fans of the movie series who have read a single one of the books.

But even for the most ardent fans of the book, there should still be some surprises in the last movie. The biggest may be in the very last scene, which takes place 20 years later. Originally, the last scene was shot on location at King's Cross station in London, and some paparazzi photos did catch the cast made up to look decades older. But Daniel Radcliffe and Emma Watson confirmed to HitFix last November that they were going back to shoot more footage for the film's epilogue.

We'll all get to see the final product when "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 2" opens on July 15

Meet Chelsy Davy, Prince Harry's Royal Wedding date

With all the Royal Wedding hullabaloo focusing on Prince William and bride-to-be Kate Middleton, younger brother (and best man) Prince Harry, 26, has not gotten much attention. But guess what? He's taking an adorable blonde to the wedding - who is she?
It is none other than Chelsy Davy, his on-again, off-again girlfriend since 2004. The pair dated seriously from 2004 until 2009, with Harry even contemplating proposing at one point, reports Yahoo!. The pair has been more off than on since 2009, but Harry has decided to take Chelsy to his big brother's wedding.
Chelsy is 25-year-old a native of Zimbabwe who balked at the serious relationship with Harry because she disliked all the tabloid attention bestowed upon her and preferred to stay at her family's home in South Africa. But recently, she took a job at a law firm in London, meaning now she'll be much closer to the younger prince. She's been involved in the Royal Wedding preparations enough to have organized one of Kate Middleton's hen parties with Kate's sister Pippa. Will she eventually be Princess Chelsy?

Strike on Gadhafi compound badly damages buildings

TRIPOLI – An air strike on Moammar Gadhafi's sprawling residential compound early Monday badly damaged two buildings, including a structure where Gadhafi often held meetings, guards at the complex said.
Two large missiles or bombs exploded in Gadhafi's Bab Al-Aziziya compound just after midnight, lightly wounding four people, according to a security guard at the site who spoke on condition of anonymity.
Gadhafi's whereabouts at the time of the attack were unclear.
The two bombs badly damaged a multi-story building and a second structure was damaged by that blasts. The second building apparently was used for more ceremonial purposes: Sofas and chandeliers and picture frames that had been knocked to the ground could be seen amid the rubble.
Early in the campaign against Gadhafi last month, a cruise missile blasted an administration building in the same complex, knocking down half the three-story building.
In Washingto on Sunday, three members of the Senate Armed Services Committee said that more should be done to drive Gadhafi out of power, including targeting his inner circle with air strikes. Gadhafi "needs to wake up every day wondering, `Will this be my last?'" Sen. Lindsey Graham, a Republican on the committee, told CNN's "State of the Union."
Monday's attack came a day after Gadhafi's forces unleashed a barrage of shells and rockets at Misrata in an especially bloody weekend that left at least 32 dead and dozens wounded. The battle for Misrata, which has claimed hundreds of lives in the past two months, has become the focal point of Libya's armed rebellion against Gadhafi since fighting elsewhere is deadlocked.
